About Me
Digital architect. Strategist. Builder of systems that last. I work from deep observation, not from haste.
Who I am
My name is René Escobar. I have spent 30 years building systems, platforms and digital solutions. I started in Peru and Argentina in 1995, when the internet was barely taking its first steps. I spent two decades in Switzerland working under Europe's most demanding standards. Today I am based in Cáceres, serving clients in Madrid, Spain and the rest of Europe.
I am not a programmer who builds websites. I am a digital architect: I design the structure, define the strategy, build the system and leave it ready to grow, evolve and adapt to whatever comes next. That is what I have been doing for half my life.
And I am not just someone behind a computer. I know life, business, people and the diverse realities that exist behind every project. In the end, that is what matters most.
Strategist before technician. I listen more than I speak. And when I build, I build to last, with the capacity to grow, evolve and improve, adapting to new requirements.— René Escobar
Chess since the age of 4
A chessboard was placed in front of me when I could barely read. At 4 years old I learned the first lesson that has stayed with me throughout my entire professional life: every move requires thinking three moves ahead.
Chess taught me not to improvise, to read the terrain, to anticipate problems before they appear, and to know that a good opening is worthless without a solid endgame. I apply all of that every day to the projects I build.
Before writing a single line of code, I analyse the whole board. Only then do I make the first move.
Career
The foundations
Technical training, first systems, web development when the internet was barely starting. I learned to build with limited resources, to solve real business problems and to understand that technology only makes sense if it serves people.
The school of precision
Two decades working in top-tier companies in Switzerland. There I learned what rigour, adherence to deadlines, measurable quality and flawless documentation really mean. Systems architecture, critical platforms, enterprise integration. Every project documented, every delivery with verifiable references. Today I maintain an active operation in Zurich managed by a local partner.
Based in Cáceres, global outlook
Based in Cáceres, I serve clients in Madrid, Spain and Europe. I apply everything learned across three decades to projects that need real solidity: custom platforms, applied artificial intelligence, SEO and visibility strategy. Swiss precision, Spanish execution, global vision.
The school of strategy
Before dedicating myself fully to the digital world, I served for several years in a special tactical unit, where I was responsible for the design and strategic planning of a military area of responsibility. It was not an ordinary service: it was a hard school where you learn to plan with incomplete information, to coordinate teams under pressure, and to accept that every decision has real consequences.
There I learned three things that I apply to every project today:
Plan for the long term. On a military board there is no improvising. Every move is calculated, every scenario considered, every unforeseen event anticipated. That is exactly what I do with every platform I build.
Work with limited resources. In demanding environments you do not always have everything you would like. You learn to get the most out of what you have, without excuses.
Respect the chain of trust. Sensitive information is handled with absolute discretion. That principle is the same one I apply today to my clients' data: not shared, not leaked, not used for any other purpose.
I do not mention it out of nostalgia. I mention it because it explains where my discipline, my rigour and my understanding of strategy come from. And that, at its core, is what makes my projects work.
The Andes — a year that changed me
There was a time in my life when I left everything behind and went for more than a year to the Peruvian Andes. To places so remote that there was no electricity. Where people wove their own clothes, moved on foot or on horseback, and lived according to customs preserved intact for centuries.
There I learned three things that no university teaches:
A word is worth more than a document
When someone gives you their word, they keep it. No contract, no lawyer, no fine print. That is what I apply today to every client who trusts me.
Collective work builds more
Projects that last are not built by one person: they are built by a group rowing in the same direction. I have seen it working in communities that have sustained themselves this way for centuries.
Abundance is not in what you own
You can live with very little and be completely happy. Real abundance is not in accumulating, but in knowing how to value what you already have.
I came back from there a better professional. But above all, a better person. And that shows in how I work.
I have travelled, worked and observed in more than 45 countries across four continents. Not as a tourist, but as a professional who learns from every culture, every market and every way of doing business.
That global vision is what allows me to understand very different realities and adapt solutions to contexts that look nothing alike. A shop in Cáceres does not work the same way as a Swiss company, and neither of them resembles a social project in Latin America. Knowing how to read each context is part of the craft.
What I give back
Part of what I earn I reinvest in projects that make sense beyond economic profit. Ventures with positive social impact, works that benefit humanity and nature. I understand every contribution as a seed that yields productive returns to the system and to society.
Productive NGOs
Extensive experience in social and human development. I work with third-sector organisations to position them, professionalise them and lead them to real self-sustainability. Not eternal dependencies: systems that sustain themselves.
Impact ventures
I reinvest part of my income in businesses that generate social value in addition to economic value. Projects that understand profit as a means, not as an end.
Benefit to nature
I support initiatives working for conservation, sustainability and balance between human development and respect for the environment. Because without nature there is no future to build.
Strategic research and OSINT
In addition to building platforms and systems, I carry out strategic research work applying OSINT methodologies (open source intelligence). It is a capability that stems from my training in strategic planning and that I now apply to the digital environment for decision-making.
I work with public, verifiable information and always within the legal framework. The goal is not to "investigate people", but to give companies, professionals and projects the information they need to decide better.
Competitive intelligence
Analysis of competitors, market movements, positioning, pricing and public strategies of companies in the sector.
Information verification
Data checking, disinformation detection, source validation and reliability report production.
Digital due diligence
Pre-investment, partnership or hiring analysis. Online reputation, public record, data consistency.
Public information tracking
Locating scattered information, open-source analysis and preparation of structured reports for decision-making.
Beyond the computer
I am not just someone behind a screen. Throughout my life I have performed many different roles, all of them documented and with verifiable references. I have worked in top-tier companies, led projects, accompanied people, solved real problems outside the strictly technical field.
I know life. I know business. I know people. And I know the diverse realities behind every project, because I have seen them up close across four continents.
That experience is not learned in a course. It accumulates. And it is, probably, what brings the most value to every client who trusts me.
I work with few clients at a time. Not for lack of capacity, but out of conviction. Every project deserves full attention, not a template.
Before proposing a solution, I listen. Before building, I understand. And before delivering, I verify that the result is up to what I promised.
I am not a supplier. I am a strategic partner.
If you are looking for price, there are cheaper options. If you are looking for results that last, you are in the right place.
